Founding of VB-Leasing International Holding GmbH as a 100% subsidiary of Österreichische Volksbanken-AG (ÖVAG).

Stake acquired in LB Leasing in Slovakia (later VB Leasing Slovakia). Founding of leasing subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Hungary  and Slovenia as well as a joint venture with Porsche Bank (SK Auto Leasing spol. s r.o. Bratislava).

1997

VR-LEASING AG acquires a 25% (+1) share of VB-Leasing International Holding GmbH.

1998

A leasing subsidiary is set up in Croatia along with a joint venture with Porsche Bank in Croatia (Pet Plus Leasing d.o.o.).

1999

Acquisition of a 25% stake in Lombard Lízing Hungary. Acquisition of 51% of Dolnoslaskie Towarzystwo Leasingowe S.A. in Poland (later VB Leasing Poland). Termination of the joint venture with Porsche Bank through the sale of SK-Autoleasing spol. s r.o.

Acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in Dolnoslaskie Towarzystwo Leasingowe S.A. (later VB Leasing Poland). Founding of VB Leasing Romania.

Founding of VB Leasing in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Sale of the company's stake in Lombard Lízing to VR-LEASING AG.

2002

Shareholding held by VR-LEASING AG in VB-Leasing International Holding GmbH increased to 50%. Termination of the joint venture in Croatia with Porsche Bank based on the acquisition of the joint venture company Pet Plus Leasing d.o.o.

Founding of VB Leasing Serbia.

Founding of FB-Leasing Russia.

2008

Sale of FB-Leasing Russia to VR-LEASING AG. Merger of the subsidiaries Lombard Lízing and VB Leasing Hungary, in turn a 8.26% stake acquired in Lombard Lízing Hungary.

Acquisition of the stake held by VBI banks in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovakia and Slovenia. Only Volksbank Romania keeps their 20% stake in VB Leasing Romania.
